AGAVIZHI Hostel for the Visually Challenged was started on 07.06.2005 Register No:33/2010. This Hostel was under taken by Moonram Parvai Trust. The inaugural meeting was conducted under the leadership of the Managing Trustee Mr.Palaniappan,M.A.. The Trust is totally dedicated to the cause of Visually Challenged students (Both boys and Girls). In this hostel, who are totally blind, are given free boarding. With a view of developing the inborn talents of these students'. Free classes are conducted in various fields like music, Yoga, spoken English and poetry. 

Every Sunday between 4pm to 6pm the following events are conducted 

1st Sunday - Kaviarangam
2nd Sunday - Paduvoor padalam (Musical event)
3rd Sunday - Comdey Conference
4th Sunday - Group Discussion 

The School and College NSS, NCC Students co-ordinate with Us to Bring out awareness in association with our music groupOn 05.07.08 at 04.00pm Ascendas Excellency Award was given by Honourable Governer.Surjitsingh Burnala. 

On 03.12.05 at 10.00am world Handicap day was celebrate in the hostel. A Symposium on The importance parental care of the organized. It was presided over by Mr. Thirukumaran. In the evening essay competition was conducted on the topic "My suggestion for the development of the handicapped"..

The Trustee Mr.M.Palaniappan,M.A., was awarded "Manithanaya Maamani" by the vice chancellor of Madurai Kamaraj University Mr.Maruthamuthu. The award was given on 08.01.2006 in a function where Hi-Hoo Poet  R.Ravi released his anthology of poems
